¿Palabras o gestos?

9 CARDENALES (INCLUYENDO A Schönborn) Y 160 OBISPOS EUROPEOS NEOCATECUMENALES PARTICIPARAN DE LA NUEVA EVANGELIZACION (Y VAN CUANTAS NUEVAS ... HACIA LA "CIVILIZACION DEL AMOR" ?) http://www.zenit.org/article-22170?l=english Neocatechumenal Way Saying "Yes" to Europe Movement Sponsors Meeting of Prelates in Holy Land KORAZIM, Israel, APRIL 1, 2008 (Zenit.org).- After 40 years of Europe saying "no" to its future, the Neocatechumenal Way is leading the way to say "yes," according to the archbishop of Vienna. Cardinal Christoph Schönborn said this at a meeting of nine cardinals and 160 European bishops who gathered March 24-29 at the Domus Galilaeae International Center on the Mount of Beatitudes in Galilee to reflect on the New Evangelization in Europe. The participants in the meeting, which was organized by the Kilo Argüello, Carmen Hernández and Father Mario Pezzi, founders of the Neocatechumenal Way, were greeted by a telegram sent by the Pope's secretary of state, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, who sent greetings and the blessing of Benedict XVI. “In the last 40 years," said Cardinal Schönborn, "Europe has said ‘no’ to its future three times: in 1968 when it rejected 'Humanae Vitae'; then, 20 years later, with the legalization of abortion; and today with homosexual marriages.” He continued: “It is no longer a moral question, but it is a fact. For example, in Germany today for every 100 parents there are 70 children and 44 grandchildren. In two generations the population will be cut by half. "This is an objective ‘no’ to the future. The only voice in Europe that has promoted and is promoting the future is the Catholic Church with Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI, and so many others. "The Neocatechumenal Way is without a doubt an answer of the Holy Spirit to this situation and I have been able to see it as a bishop and as a shepherd. I have seen parents saying ‘yes’ to life in an encouraging and generous way; they are saying ‘yes’ to the future.” Mission At the end of the gathering, the bishops released a joint declaration to launch the re-evangelization of Europe: "We, nine cardinals and 160 archbishops and bishops of Europe, have gathered [...] during the octave of Easter to reflect on the new evangelization in the place where Jesus proclaimed the Beatitudes, and from where he sent the Apostles for the universal mission. "We, the bishops, recognize with gratitude that, among the many graces that the Holy Spirit has bestowed upon the Church in our times, the Neocatechumenal Way represents, with its itinerary of Christian initiation, a powerful charism to reinforce the missionary impulse that emerges from the baptismal regeneration and to give an answer to the dramatic situation of de-Christianization of Europe. "We declare that the future of the Neocatechumenal Way will greatly depend upon the fatherly love with which we bishops welcome this charism, closely follow the Redemptoris Mater seminaries and encourage the precious families of the Neocatechumenal Communities, inserting them, more and more, into the life of the local Church." Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, archbishop of Kracow, underlined the importance of the gathering: “It is very important because morality is in a deep crisis in Europe, not just in an individual level, but in an institutional level as well. "We need to reflect and find a way out, and we, as shepherds, must do this. Here we have an important proposal, the proposal of the Neocatechumenal Way, which is to renew the life of the family. "The crisis in Europe emerged because of the crisis of the families, for this reason, in renewing the life of the families, Europe herself can be renewed.” Renewal The Neocatechumenal Way, whose statutes were approved for five years "ad experimentum" by the Holy See in June 2002, is a spiritual renewal movement at the service of diocesan bishops and pastors as a way of rediscovering the sacrament of baptism and promoting ongoing education in the faith. The journey began in 1964 when Argüello left everything to go live with the poor in the slums on the outskirts of Madrid, Spain. There are an estimated 20,000 communities of the Neocatechumenal Way in more than 6,000 parishes in 900 dioceses, which gather together around a million Catholics. In January 2006, Benedict XVI sent more than 200 families of the Neocatechumenal Way on mission to dioceses around the world to areas where the Church is now absent and the number of the non-baptized is reaching almost 90% of the population. Vatican representatives at the meeting included Cardinal Paul Josef Cordes, and Cardinal Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity.
TAL VEZ SOLO FORMAS

Wednesday February 20, 2008 ---------------------------------------------------------- US Catholic University Approves Gay Straight Partnership Club By Thaddeus M. Baklinski PORTLAND, Oregon, February 20, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The University of Portland, a Catholic university run by the Holy Cross Fathers, has officially recognized the university's first-ever sexuality club, the Gay Straight Partnership (GSP). The GSP's mission, according to the club's constitution, is "to build a community that is open and welcoming to all students" and "to help all students grow in friendship, knowledge, faith and service." Although the university administration had turned down previous requests to form a homosexual student's club (in 1994 and 1999), the school was listed in 2004 as a 'gay friendly' institution by homosexual activist website Catholiclesbians.org (see LifeSiteNews.com report: U.S. Homosexual Activist Website Provides List of 'Gay Friendly' Catholic Parishes, http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2004/mar/040330a.html ). A group of 10 UP students applied for club recognition with Student Activities last November. Their request were approved by University vice president for enrollment management and student life, John Goldrick, after they were asked to amend their proposal to remove a section on networking with other schools and similar clubs in the area, and choosing different advisors. The club's initial advisers, social work professor Anissa Rogers and Kristina Houck, the Health Center's substance abuse prevention coordinator, were replaced by Holy Cross Fr. John Donato and Stacey Noem, a campus minister. Donato said that he was chosen to be the club's new adviser not only because he can act as a liaison between the administration and the students, but also for his ability to "vocalize and facilitate the mission of the university." "The fact that I am a Holy Cross priest and the associate vice president for student life is a good way to make sure that this group stays focused for what we hope all student groups are involved in, but also this particular one which deals with the sacred area of human sexuality," Donato said. Although the Gay Straight Partnership has made pains to state that it will be adhering to Catholic teaching on sexuality, experience has shown pro-family advocates that such alliances typically result in the push to normalize and to affirm as morally acceptable an active homosexual lifestyle amongst university students. A memo released by the GSP said, "the group will provide balanced programming and education and will offer a clear, faithful presentation of the Catholic Church's teaching about human sexuality and sexual orientation." However, evidence that the club would promote homosexual behavior as normal and acceptable was offered by Valerie Silliman, Portland's GSP president and co-founder, who said that her "big dream is that [the club] will last for 25 years until we don't even need gay straight alliances because our community would already be welcoming. "I hope it will encourage gay students to come to our university. I hope that gay students who are here will stay involved on campus rather than being marginalized and feeling alone. I hope that lots of straight people will be involved, and I hope people find answers and find questions." "I think [the club] opens up new doors that were once closed on this campus due to a lack of diversity," sophomore Brandon Pratt, told The Beacon To express your concern please contact: Congregation of Holy Cross in Oregon 5408 N Strong St. Portland, OR 97203 Phone: (503) 943-8024 E-mail: info@up.edu John Goldrick 5000 N. Facts
Benedict XVI & Truth of Divine and Catholic Faith 1. Benedict XVI denies the Real Presence... “Eucharistic devotion such as is noted in the silent visit by the devout in church must not be thought of as a conversation with God. This would assume that God was present there locally and in a confined way. To justify such an assertion shows a lack of understanding of the Christological mysteries of the very concept of God. This is repugnant to the serious thinking of the man who knows about the omnipresence of God. To go to church on the ground that one can visit God who is present there is a senseless act which modern man rightfully rejects.” Source: Die Sacramentale Begrundung Christliche Existenz by Joseph Ratzinger “If anyone says that after the consecration is complete the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ are not in the sacrament of the Eucharist and in the consecrated hosts or particles which are reserved (in the tabernacle) the true body and blood of our Lord remain not, let him be anathema.” Source: Council of Trent, Canon 4, mid-16th century 2. Benedict XVI has rejected and ridiculed the core Catholic doctrine of Original Sin in public homilies he delivered in Munich, later published in book form. Source: In the Beginning, Ignatius Press, 1990 The doctrine of original sin is a truth revealed by God in passages of the Old and New Testaments, but especially in the texts of Genesis 3:1-20. Sacred Tradition and the Church Magisterium teach that the sin of the first man is transmitted to all his descendants not through imitation but through propagation. 3. Benedict XVI is an Evolutionist, which by definition makes one an athiest. To quote Ratzinger... ...for science has long since disposed of the concepts (Genesis: l-49) that we have just now heard ...we hear of the Big Bang, which happened billions of years ago. ...it was rather in complex ways and over vast periods of time that earth and the universe were constructed. (p.12) We cannot say: creation or evolution. The proper way of putting it is: creation and evolution. (p.65) ...the progress of thought in the last two decades helps us to grasp anew the inner unity of creation and evolution and of faith and reason. (p.66) Source: In the Beginning is an annotated version of a 4-homily series delivered by Joseph Ratzinger in Munich (1981). Subtitled A Catholic Understanding of the Story of Creation and the Fall, the book was published in Germany in 1985 and is now available in English translation. “The first men were Adam and Eve, who were created immediately by God” Source: Catechism of Christian Doctrine, published at the order of Pope St. Pius X 4. Benedict XVI favors Ecumenism... The train that took the false religious leaders from the Vatican to Assisi was described by Ratzinger as “a symbol of our pilgrimage in history… Are we not all, perhaps, passengers on the same train?... Is not the fact that the train chose as its destiny peace and justice, and the reconciliation of peoples and religions, a great inspiration and, at the same time, a splendid sign of hope?” Source: Zenit News Report, Feb. 21, 2002. “Conventions, meetings and addresses are frequently arranged by these persons, at which a large number of listeners are present, and at which all without distinction are invited to join in the discussion, both infidels of every kind, and Christians, even those who have unhappily fallen away from Christ or who with obstinacy and pertinacity deny His divine nature and mission. Certainly such attempts can nowise be approved by Catholics, founded as they are on that false opinion which considers all religions to be more or less good and praiseworthy ... Not only are those who hold this opinion in error and deceived, but also in distorting the idea of true religion they reject it, and little by little, turn aside to naturalism and atheism, as it is called; from which it clearly follows that one who supports those who holds these theories and attempt to realize them, is altogether abandoning the divinely revealed religion.” Source: Pope Pius XI, Mortalium Animos (# 2), Jan. 6, 1928 5. Benedict XVI does not condemn laxness in Catholics... “I have nothing against people who, though they never enter a church during the year, go to Christmas Mass, or go on the occasion of some other celebration, because this is also a way of coming close to the light. Therefore, there must be different forms of involvement and participation.” Source:Zenit News interview, Oct. 1, 2001 “All those who permit themselves to be lax in the practice of the faith will freeze in spiritual death just as surely as a person who permits himself to sleep poorly clothed in a below zero cold place.” Source: Pope Pius XIII, Caritas (#32), March 1, 2003 6. Benedict XVI rejects the notion that non-Catholics should be converted... “The new text describes the relationship between the Church and non-Catholic Christians without speaking of ‘membership.’ By shedding this terminological armor, the text acquired a much wider scope… The Catholic has to recognize that his own Church is not yet prepared to accept the phenomenon of multiplicity in unity; he must orient himself toward this reality… Meantime the Catholic Church has no right to absorb other Churches.” Source: Joseph Ratzinger, Theological Highlights of Vatican II, New York: Paulist Press, 1966, pp. 61, 68 “It is a great consolation to receive correspondence from the four corners of the world. At a slow but regular pace people are joining Our world wide parish...That joining makes them one in the Mystical Body of Christ. What ruptures the Mystical Body of Christ? It is heresy, schism and apostasy. To get back into the Church those persons repent of their break from Christ, they make their profession of faith and receive an absolution that receives them back into the Church with the right to receive the sacraments. Once that has been accomplished the convert goes to confession to receive the absolution that takes away sin.” Source: Pope Pius XIII, Caritas (#5), July 21, 1999 7. Benedict XVI denies the Resurrection of the Body... “Paul [St. Paul] teaches not the resurrection of physical bodies but of persons…” Source: Joseph Ratzinger, Introduction to Christianity, (republished in 1990 with Ratzinger’s approval), p. 277 “The same most holy Roman Church firmly believes, and firmly declares that nevertheless on the day of judgment all men will be brought together with their bodies before the tribunal of Christ to render an account of their own deeds.” (Denz. 464) Source: Pope Gregory X, Council of Lyons II, 1274, ex cathedra 8. Benedict XVI teaches that schismatic sects (e.g., the “Orthodox” sects) have the Church of Christ present in them, even though they reject the Papacy... “Therefore, the Church of Christ is present and operative also in these Churches, even though they lack full communion with the Catholic Church since they do not accept the Catholic doctrine of the Primacy, which, according to the will of God, the Bishop of Rome objectively has and exercises over the entire Church.” Source: Dominus Iesus #17, by Joseph Ratzinger, approved by bogus “pope” John Paul II, Aug. 6, 2000 “There are other, almost countless, proofs drawn from the most trustworthy witnesses which clearly and openly testify with great faith, exactitude, respect and obedience that all who want to belong to the true and only Church of Christ must honor and obey this Apostolic See and the Roman Pontiff.” Source: Pope Pius IX, Amantissimus (# 3), April 8, 1862 “Finally, in one word, stay close to Us. For no one can be in the Church of Christ without being in unity with its visible head and founded on the See of Peter.” Source: Pope Pius VI, Charitas (# 32), April 13, 1791 “Therefore if a man does not want to be, or to be called, a heretic, … but let him hasten before all things to be in communion with the Roman See.” Source: Pope Leo XIII, Satis Cognitum (# 13), June 29, 1896 9. Benedict XVI holds that the Jews can validly continue to await the coming of the Messiah... In late 2001, the Pontifical Biblical Commission released a book entitled The Jewish People and the Holy Scriptures in the Christian Bible. This book argues that the Jews’ wait for the Coming of the Messiah is justified and validated by the Old Testament. Ratzinger wrote the preface for the book. So, in doing so, Ratzinger denies that that Jesus Christ is Messiah. “And she shall bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name Jesus. For he shall save his people from their sins.” Source: Matthew 1:21 “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.” Source: Matthew 18:11
